I like to reflect on COMMON SENSE that led to the American Revolution and the
wisdom of U.S. Founders. There is an insightful parallel between the challenges
overcome in their day and the challenges we face today.
COMMON SENSE was the political pamphlet by Thomas Paine that sparked the flame
of freedom that became the American Revolution. It laid out the crisis in clear
and compelling terms. And it proposed a revolutionary solution - an enlightened
system of self-governance that declared independence from the power elite
tyrants of their day.
The more things have changed since the pioneering of freedom's Constitution, the
more we need to refresh our patriotism with the pure intention of U.S. Founders.
How far has the "Great Experiment" progressed? And how would the Founders
"fine-tune" the system" to better fit current realities?
There's no question that the world has changed dramatically since the Great
Experiment was launched. There are many forces that have changed the system and
compromised the pure intent of the Founders.
An upgrade of Thomas Paine's COMMON SENSE today would address the global
realities with equally revolutionary solutions. It would highlight the parallel
between the New World of America and the New World today -- the
instant-everywhere-interactive Internet that has created a "global village" that
requires global solution to the global crisis.

Without common sense that honors the truth in virtue -- and
the virtue in truth -- there is no healing, individually or collectively.
Instead there will be denial that we are even sick. Truth becomes stranger than
fiction. Politically correct media becomes morally wrong. And the sickness in
the soul of America becomes pathological... a "habit".
Definition from Webster's Dictionary for "habit":
*characteristic condition of mind or body ; disposition.
*a thing done often and, hence, easily ; practice; custom,
*a usual way of doing.
Common sense of the problem -- its cause and solution -- has
become uncommon. There is a core disconnect with the truth of this. And that
disconnect has become a habit. It's making Americans sick. Virtually
pathological. And as a metaphysician, I look at that
as any holistic healing expert who understands the primary role of spiritual
health for mental, emotional and physical health.

A pathological disconnect from truth leads to a habit
of willful ignorance. This ignoring of truth becomes a habit that leads
to subservience to governing forces that deny there were any lies or sick
policies to begin with. That habit leads to tyranny. And that is the
habit of Americans that must change if the Founder's Legacy is to be
honored.
America is sick because mainstream "truth-tellers" in the dominant media - TV,
radio and the press -- have been lying to us. Americans have been divided with
an "us versus them" pathology every since Bush used the 'shock and awe" of 9-11
terror to embed the psyche of Americans with "You're either with us or with the
terrorists". Bush forces politicized those divisions with the elections - red
vs blue states. He has divided us between those for and against the endless
war. He has divided the rich and poor with a widening gap. But most of all, he
has divided Americans between those who believe the "Big Lie" and those who
believe the "Whole Truth".

9-11 was the beginning of a psychotic break with reality in the American
psyche. It was based on a lie. A huge lie. A lie that is so Big and so
bold and so often and told by dominant media "truth-tellers" -- America is
being destroyed before our eyes. The people of the "Big Lie" deny that. But
those of the "Whole Truth" know both the problem and it's solution.
Media society gets sick when it doesn't self-correct with the truth of
dysfunction in the body politic. If the only "truth" the media addresses is
symptoms rather than the cause, the dis-ease festers. And if the symptoms are
treated with lies that -- like drugs -- compound the problem with harmful
side-effects, the core disease goes from acute to chronic. Until the body
politic sufferers systemic degenerative disease like the bodies of so many
Americans.

When a population gets so sick and tired of being lied to and drugged that they
become too sick and tired to discern the cause of their own affliction, they
become hopelessly dependent on the same toxic "cures" that created the dis-ease.
Lies are seen as the truth, evil is called good, and endless war is waged in the
name of security and freedom... at the expense of security and freedom.
The truth is, only a spiritually and mentally ill people would be blind to the
insidious process of media corruption behind a gradual process of degenerative
dis-ease in the body politic. Such a people get the habit of trusting the
media, trusting drugs for whatever ails you, and trusting a "health care" system
that is 97.5% disease care - treating symptoms of disease rather than preventing
them.
That habit tolerates dis-ease, dis-information and dysfunction until the
symptoms become unbearable and the pain becomes personal with their imminent
demise if they don't change their habit.

America has reached that stage and it is killing "US" - United
Sovereigns in a United State of Love. That "United State" is
afflicted by divisions and trauma-based dis-ease that has become
life-threatening. 9-11 was just a symptom but it was the "breaking point" for
the psyche of many American. The spiritual dis-ease - denial of truth in love --
became a mental dis-ease afflicted by emotional trauma with many physical
consequences -- degeneration dis-ease in our most cherished virtues and
institutions.

restricted, licensed, registered, directed, checked, inspected, measured,
numbered,
counted, rated, stamped, censured, authorized, admonished, refused,
prevented, drilled,
indoctrinated, monopolized, extorted, robbed, hoaxed, fined, harassed,
disarmed,
dishonored, fleeced, exploited, assessed, and taxed to the point of
suffocation and desperation."

Half of the healing process is coming out of denial of the
problem. Many Americans deny that America is sick and needs healing. They may
agree to the symptoms but deny the core problem -- a corrupt media that lies and
pushes drugs for whatever ails you. This is the psychotic break that doesn't
see anything broken or in need of fixing except with the same old "cures" that
compound the core problem. It can't see the solution because it denies the
problem. In truth, this psychotic break has become the problem. It has become
a habit of denial of both problem and solution.
A more in-depth definition of "habit" addresses the aspects of it... the
pattern of believing, thinking, feeling and acting that defines our individual
and collective behavior. In essence, our "soul matrix" -- who we REALLY are --
that many spiritual people believe religiously is the one thing we take with us
past this life. Because that's the nature of "habit" - we "go to" where
we're "coming from".

If we do what we've always done - we get what we've always got. A common
definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over yet expecting
different results. A good example is a civilization -- based on principles of
freedom -- that tolerates the collusion of big business with big government to
the extent it gradually loses the freedom it cherishes to a creeping Nazi-like
fascism.

Healing the psychotic break in America since 9-11 begins with a revival of the
pure intent of U.S. Founders. It we can't agree on that -- and a COMMON SENSE
way to do that -- we have no standard for challenging the crisis of encroaching
tyranny today.

All healthy living organisms have an interactive nervous system that recognizes
"pain" to heal the cause. The dominant media is healthy when it does the same
thing. It self-corrects with truth-telling that either keep us well, or by
default, makes us sick.
No representative system of government can be healthy if the citizens
represented are divided by half-truths and outright lies in the mainstream
media. A government based on informed choice can't work if the media misinforms
us with "poor intelligence" or outright lies.
This "common sense" of the core problem is uncommon due to government influenced
media programming of endless terror and an encroaching tyranny as though the
fate of Americans. This is the core affliction that is making "U.S." sick --
self-serving corporate interests behind the media. Powerful special interests
that have a vested interest in war, disease and suppression of the truth.
In fact, that is the core crisis facing America today. There are pervasive
forces afoot that have a habit of making fascism the habit of Americans.
Indeed, they are intent on subverting the "American Way" as it was pioneered by
U.S. Founders. And it is important that American, of all people, understand how
the warfare is largely informational and psychological these days. And how the
mainstream media is the battleground.
The media is like the nervous system of humanity. Today, the more advanced
nervous system is the Internet. It is interactive and "grassroots"
(decentralized) worldwide. The mainstream monopoly media, by contrast, is
"top-down" (centralized), and is not interactive. It is one-way programming
that -- by it's very nature -- conditions passivity.

No "response ability" (ability to respond) translates to "no responsibility". No
responsibility for "faulty intelligence" that led to the Iraq attack. No
responsibility for the Vietnam-like quagmire now. No responsibility for
encroaching fascism in our own government. The message of the highly scripted
monopoly media is to just leave it to the powers that be behind the corrupt
self-serving special interests running the show.

The classic work on this core issue is "The Media is the Message" by Marshall
McLuhan. He coined the term "global village" to explain the worldwide
"all-connected" communication realities that are challenging power politics bent
on owning and controlling the physical and human resources of Earth. And he
explains how the highly centralized one-way media has a message: conditioned
helplessness. Just leave responsibility to the experts in the media and leaders
in government.

The ideological content of the monopoly media has a powerful effect on
politically-correct subservience. But even moreso is the style of top-down,
one-way programming that tells people, "You don't have anything to say and can't
say it anyway so just accept what we tell you and believe it." Nothing changes
with that habit.
The terror-tyranny tactics in the mainstream media didn't begin with 9-11.
Clinton got away with it at the government's Waco massacre - the "burning at the
stake" of an entire religious community on live TV. Terror had come to
America.
Do we forget so easily? Was there a subconscious message that Waco burned into
our psyche? What does it say when a religious community can be destroyed like
that before our eyes? What happens to religious freedom under such terror?
Doesn't it say, "You don't have freedom" to believe what you want". And that if
you try, you'll fry, with the whole world told it was your own cultish, suicidal
fault? Or did you believe the lies of the BATF who torched the building, shot
people coming out and floated claims of "child-molesting" that were proven
false? Bad government demonizes those who challenge their credibility. And
after Waco, Clinton went on a mass media tirade against the "terrorism" of
dissent from patriot groups.
Sound familiar? Did Clinton take responsibility? Did he promote those who
covered it up? Are they running top positions in government now? Is this a
good habit? Do the American people have a habit of condoning
on-going terror and encroaching tyranny... passively?

That habit is, indeed, a passive "Belief System" (BS) that believes what
it is told without thinking critically about it -- like 9-11. Given the
mainstream media "BS" on 9-11, ideological control of a people becomes easy. It
just layers the lies of "faulty intelligence" with more "BS" that never takes
responsibility for the original lies and simply piles on more "BS" to the
foundation of "BS". Until we have full blown propaganda in the media that
people deny is propaganda!

Or as media reporter, Robert
McChesney, brazenly stated, "The
first rule of being a great propaganda system and why our system is vastly
superior to anything in the old soviet Union is not that people think they are
being subject to propaganda... people don't think that - they aren't looking for
that - they are much easier to propagandize... and that's the genius of our
media system. It's a system of ideological control, compared to an
authoritarian system."
Personally, I don't see the genius in a system of ideological propaganda
that people don't realize is mind control. How would you know you are
programmed with ideological "BS" if you are programmed with ideological "BS"?
Have mainstream Americans lost their right minds to ideological mass media propaganda?

Are we aware that a handful of giant media conglomerates control the "official
truth" in approx. 97% of the dominant media - TV, radio and newspapers? Do we
mindlessly forget that these corporations profit directly or indirectly from oil
consumption, endless war and drugs for whatever ails you? Do we care that these
powerful media special interests have a vested interest in keeping the truth --
the WHOLE truth -- from the American public?

Or have we accepted ideological propaganda as truth and equate dissent with lack
of patriotism? Or just don't think about it at all... preferring to believe
that the system works and we're the good guys. Just eat, drink and be merry
watching the unabashed materialism and unembarrassed hedonism on the boob tube.
If there's no mind, it doesn't matter.

It may be unconscious, unthinkable and unspeakable but it's there. "Just support
the troops and our leaders"... or "Just be a good consumer. Buy junk food that
makes you sick, drugs to treat the symptoms, and screw your brains out with
Viagra." DUH! Fact is, there not enough blood for both the brain and the penis.
And TV today has become like the penis on steroids -- at the expense of higher
intelligence.
That's the message our impressionable kids get from the barren wasteland on TV.
That is the programming of apathy and indifference that inadvertently results
from the passive style and propaganda content of the boob-tube. Add to that the
unprecedented levels of mindless TV violence, horror and terror that embeds
commercials into our unconscious psyche - a proven "shock and awe" marketing
technique that Bush has used from 9-11 to the Iraq attack. It all makes viewers
insensate - numb and dumb -- if not violent and sex-crazed.
The bottom line of this mass-mind programming is that many if not most Americans
have become passively subservient to authority figures who have betrayed that
which we once held sacred. The "angels of our better nature" -- as Lincoln put
it -- have suffered. And it is making America sick with a habit of "FUD"
and "DUH" (Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt) and (Dummies
Unconscious & Heartless).

THIS is the habit of Americans that must change. It leads to tyranny.

Big business is what big business does. Whenever profits are at stake,
Corporate law puts the interests of shareholders ahead
of those of the public. This is the bottom line of the giant corporations that
have bigger budgets than most countries of the world. They don't have the same
pure intent as U.S. Founders "of, by and for the people". These giant
corporations put their profits first.
Likewise does big government thrive in collusion with big business. Most of the
vast U.S. government bureaucracy has become subservient to Corporate interests
through massive lobbies, corporate contributions, outright bribes and
"regulatory agencies" that in fact protect vast corporate monopolies on oil,
drugs, media, etc.
What's needed is a change, an awakening... a New Enlightenment that snaps out of
the denial of creeping "profits-before-people" fascism. That is half the
solution - identifying the systemic dis-ease that is eating at the fabric of
global civilization like an aggressive cancer. The other half is a
comprehensive revival of "checks and balances" as will resurrect the Spirit of
U.S. Founders and go about the business of evolutionary
ascent... evolving "civility" (mankind as kind men).

America must change its habit. Indeed, let's make it personal; I must
change my habit. I've been trying to resurrect the Spirit of the American
Revolution -- the LEGACY of U.S. Founders -- for many
years now. Members of my email news list have probably looked at the "Blueprint
For A Golden Age" website. And perhaps you've read the "LEGACY
PROJECT" website. Obviously it hasn't happened yet so I'm willing to do
something different.
Regular readers of my posts will note something more personal here, at least for
me. But when will it strike home for Americans? Do they have to see unabashed
tyranny resort to use of secret concentration camps for it to be personal? Why
do enlightened people in America tolerate encroaching fascism when enlightened
activism would produce different results? It's not only a Bad Habit. It's
virtually insane. And we're ALL in this together! The way things are going
will effect everyone... personally.
Personally, I'd like to see all the clean "free energy" technology freed-up. It
could replace fossil fuels virtually overnight... given the will.
Whether you believe in the deleterious effect of all those dirty petrochemical
combustion side-effect on Global Warming or not, there is no reason to continue
the destructive effects on the environment and our lungs in the face of
water/hydrogen fuel cell technology and much more advanced technology for
"free-energy" (cheap and abundant) that is being suppressed by the oil fascists

Personally, I'd also like to see holistic health technology freed-up. Virtually
overnight, it could begin reversing the degeneration of health -- physically,
emotionally, mentally and spiritually -- afflicting the American population...
given the will. Whether you believe that all the cancer and degenerative
disease in American was created by medical-industrial profiteers with a
population reduction-and-control agenda or not, there is no reason to die like
this in the face of advanced bio-energetic breakthroughs and numerous holistic
healing modalities that are being suppressed by the drug fascists in and behind

Personally, it's a matter of honesty. How could I be honest with myself if I
denied the dishonor that is infiltrating America? Why haven't more people
spoken up? Has the mainstream media -- owned largely by war, oil and drug
profiteers -- become hostage to fascists forces with their own "profits before
people" agenda? If the truth is denied and suppressed in the mainstream media
-- the symptom of a fascist press -- how will the virtue in the Constitution
have a chance?
Personally, I'd like to see ALL the fascists replaced by those who represent the
pure intent of U.S. Founders regarding representative government "of, by and for
the people." I'd like to see the "profits before people" collusion of business
with big government -- the definition of fascism -- checked and balanced by
responsible media that puts the public's well-being before the profits, prestige
and power prerogatives of an elite few.
I'd like to see the Legacy of U.S. Founders fulfilled
worldwide rather than a totalitarian "New World Order" run by fascists for their
own gain.
THAT was the pure intent of U.S. Founders who pioneered the "New World" of
America in the Spirit of representative "God over men"(G-overnment).
That was the Spirit of the American Revolution against "King George" and his
business cronies. Fascism isn't new. And if the virtue in the Constitution -
the Constitution of Virtue -- isn't centered and connected "over" men...
how will mankind evolve as kind men?
That should be COMMON SENSE. The kind of COMMON SENSE that was the most
successful political pamphlet in history that sparked the American Revolution.
That was the kind of COMMON SENSE that came from a common laborer -- Thomas
Paine -- who had the vision of "The United States of America" and actually came
up with that name to represent the Spirit of unity in the American Colonies.
Unfortunately, most Americans have a bad habit. They've become
co-dependent on fascists. And just as with addicts who are in denial of their
co-dependent habit on dangerous drugs, Americans are in denial. They deny they
have fascists in and behind the White House. They deny the Bush Family roots in
Prescott Bush who did the banking for Hitler's military-industrial complex.
They deny that the Bush Family stole the election with
rigged electronic voting machines. They deny the Bush Family profiteering on
the war -- Carlisle Group of investors -- based on what is now known as blatant
lies. And most of all, most Americans are still in "shock and awe from 9-11,
denying all the signs that this was an "inside job".
Terror is like torture. Bush can deny that U.S. intervention in the Mid-East
has exploded the powder keg of populist terror in resistance to this invasion of
their sovereignty. Bush can deny that he authorized
the 9-11 attack and Cheney ran the operation to justify this Mid-East
invasion in the 1st place. Just as this last Monday, Nov. 7th, Bush denied the
use of torture.
"We do not torture" said the President in his 5-day swing through
Latin America to promote free trade. So there you have it. After all, if you
can't believe the Bush administration, who can you believe? We don't torture,
period.
Forget all those torture pictures at Abu Ghraib. And all those torture stories
from Guantanamo Bay. And the 2002 Justice Department memo that sought to
justify torture. And the reports of U.S. officials sending detainees to other
countries for torture. And the lobbying of Dick Cheney to exempt the CIA from
rules prohibiting torture.
This is what fascism does. They torture the body of freedom. Then they lie
about it. And there has been a psychotic break in the conscience of Americans
since 9-11. It's just too torturous to think Bush
authorized the 9-11 attack and Cheney ran the operation . To torturous to
think that our own government has been taken over by fascists who use terror on
the American public to continue their agenda of fascist takeover.
The result is that many if not most American have a habit of denying
it... religiously. "BS" as a "Belief System". "Don't go there" they say when
confronted with the evidence that 9-11 was an
inside job . And that the mainstream media covers this up. The "Big Lie"
is so BIG and so bold and so often told in the monopoly media that people
believe it.
The result is a BAD HABIT -- "stinking thinking" -- that gets along by
going along with wolves in sheep's clothing who create and manage terror and
tyranny for a totalitarian agenda. And if we are honest, we will come out of
denial.
