Below is a photograph I took in the Science and Astronautics Chamber of the Rayburn Building on Capital Hill where I addressed ten agencies of the Federal Government at a Future's Summit "SYNCON" (SYNergy CONvergence) in Nov. of 1974.  Speaking in this picture is Barbara Marx Hubbard who was one of the sponsors for the event as Chair for the Committee for the Future. 

My summation talk, after 3 days of presentations on future scenarios for the Bicentennial Era ('76-'89), was in regard to the potential for utilizing the installed and operational communications technologies of the day (satellite downlinks to CATV public access stations for global and local electronic town hall meetings), for an electronic upgrade of the Bill of Rights -- our core freedoms of speech, assembly, press, religion, etc.  I had presented this vision at a lecture at Buckminster Fullers World Game Studies Workshop in Philadelphia that summer, which was why I was asked to give the keynote address by attending members of the World Future Society.

The keynote in my presentation, more true today than then, was presented as the interactive real-time interface whereby a hundred or million people can respond to the same program at the same time without creating noise.  I explained how this would require a truly "universal "language" interface -- the Model -- for mass-to-mass interaction. This would frame the language of consciousness at the very foundation of self-governance.  The two way "information's ecology" process, as I explained, would involve and evolve our individual and collective consciousness with a communication process for "electronic town hall meetings", defining, refining and combining (synergizing) our God-given gifts and talents for shining (enlightening) the flame of freedom and opportunity worldwide as did the American Revolution 200 years earlier. 

Now, with the global Internet's elimination of time and space, and the desk-top video potential of a CATV broadcasting station in one's personal computer, the high tech capabilities for worldwide freedom and opportunity are much more advanced.  The only thing lacking, today as then, is the vision of high touch high tech that the Next Big Thing in the computer/Internet revolution -- HEARTware™ -- will naturally provide with the Nature of Love.

NOTE: Having given the final presentation after 3 days of scenario modeling by leading visionaries, community planners, unified field theorists, NASA scientists, etc., the SYNCON ended and I handed out ten papers on my talk to the heads of the  U.S. Informations Agency, U.S. Communications Agency, American Revolutionary Bicentennial Commission, and the other 10 agencies of the Federal Government in attendance. It was then that a junior college vice president from New York City came up to me and said in a conscientious way, "You know, the problem with this is..."  (as his eyes widened and began to speak quickly) "this would eliminate bureaucracy, and you're not going to hear from these agencies of the federal government."  He was right.  And I discovered shortly thereafter how deeply the fix was in as far as big business/big government collusion that had already created a "Big Brother" agenda where once our Founding Fathers forged the "Great Experiment" in representative self government.  Resurrecting the Founding Fathers' vision of highest virtues at the heart of the Constitution is what the Model and Legacy Project is all about. Full story at www.heartcom.org/CapitolHill.htm .
